Cards for Combat Campaign Ends with over 13,500 Cards Donated!

For the month of August, we asked our customers to help us support our troops, by purchasing .99 cent cards to be shipped overseas to our soldiers. We tried this out the last two weeks in June and we received over 3,000 cards! Those have already been shipped and we're ready to send them some more!

This came from MSgt. Henry, one of the liasions we shipped the cards to, "I would like to say “Thank You” to you and your store and also to your customers. We just received the cards today and I immediately had some of my guys interested in them when I opened the box. This is such a great idea, and something I would have never thought of...I’ll be sure to put your cards up [in Chaplain's office]. Thank you so much for the cards, but more importantly for your support it means a great deal to everyone over hear that people back in the states care about and support us. It helps to make it a little more bearable."

The campaign ended Monday 9/6 and we are so proud to announce that we collected 13,977 cards! We are preparing to send the cards overseas, and hope to have them shipped later in the month. It takes about two weeks for the cards to make their way to our troops, and must go through military security. The North Raleigh News did an article about this worthy cause and can be found here

We intend on doing both the Storybooks for Soldiers and Cards for Combat and in 2012. We would like to thank our customers for their heartfelt support. Without them, we would not have collected any cards, and our soldiers would not have this wonderful opportunity.
